Lifeguard

Overview Essex County Club is a private country club with golf, tennis and swimming facilities in Manchester by-the-sea, MA.We are seeking seasonal Lifeguards to help enforce safety, policies, and the daily operations of our six lane private pool.Job Description Under the Supervision of the Pool Director and/or Head Guard, lifeguards will maintain the safety and well-being of members and the pool facility.Lifeguards will be responsible for activating and responding to facility EAP, opening and closing duties, chemical recording, helping with aquatic programing/events, enforcing club and safety rules, assisting members, and supporting Head Guard and Pool Director in the daily operations of the pool.Responsibilities Enforce pool and facility policies, guidelines, and safety procedures Activate EAP and properly respond to emergency or life-threatening situations Check pool chemicals and keeps records in pool chemical log Give swim tests to swimmers under 13 years old Assist Members in the daily operations, pool functions, and additional needs Complete opening and closing pool duties and reports them in daily checklist Support Pool Director and Head Guard in any additional responsibilities to provide safety and well-being of members Requirements Lifeguard and CPR/AED/First Aid certified Able to lift 50lbs.Weekends, Evenings, Holidays required 16 Years of Age and Older Prefered Qualifications 1season experience working as a lifeguard Experience working with children Competitive swimming background Familiar with working in a private club setting Available through Labor Day weekend (September 5th) Additional Information Paid time and a half for holidays and over 40 hours a week Employee meals provided during shift Ability to make supplementary pay from group and private lessons Job Types:Full-time, Part-time, Temporary Pay:From $15.50 per hour Work Location:In person.
