Lifeguard (Waterfront) Overnight Camp

KEY FUNCTIONS & Responsibilities:Waterfront Lifeguard Carry out assigned waterfront activities.Participate in special waterfront events.Assist in swim lessons as directed by the Waterfront Director/WSI Manager.Enforce water safety measures at the waterfront.Help to take care of waterfront equipment, facilities, and supplies; report repairs needed to Waterfront Director.Participate in in-service trainings with other lifeguards and the Waterfront Director.Keep records and make reports as required.Participate in general camp activities.This position description in no way states or implies that the responsibilities listed are the only duties to be performed by the person filling this position.The person in the position may be required to perform other duties as necessitated by the situation or requested by his/her supervisor.Qualifications:Successful completion of background check.Must be at least 18 years old.Current high school student or high school diploma.Current certification in American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and Waterfront Lifeguard.Current certification in American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer.Ability to stand for long periods.Capable of lifting and carrying items over 15 lbs.Proficient in navigating rough terrain.Comfortable being active for extended durations.If you are passionate about ensuring safety while fostering fun experiences for young girls, we invite you to apply today and make a difference with Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson!
