Duties Prepare and cook menu items following established recipes, presentation standards, and food safety guidelines. Assist with meal assembly, ensuring each dish meets quality and portion specifications. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food handling and storage practices. Support menu planning efforts by suggesting new ideas or improvements based on culinary experience. Handle food with care, adhering to all safety protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure freshness. Participate in catering events or special functions as needed, delivering excellent food service. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and smooth kitchen operations. Qualifications Previous experience in food industry roles such as restaurant work, dietary aide positions, or catering is preferred. Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques are highly valued. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Experience with meal preparation, cooking, and food service operations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen environment. Familiarity with dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is a plus. A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new culinary skills and contribute to team success.
