Line Cook Cork Wine Bar & Market – Washington, DC Part-Time | $19–$21 per hour About Us Cork Wine Bar & Market is an award-winning neighborhood wine bar and market focused on thoughtful food, exceptional hospitality, and a curated Old World wine program. We are passionate about seasonal ingredients, small producers, and creating memorable guest experiences in a warm, team-oriented environment. We are currently seeking a dependable, motivated, and professional Line Cook to join our kitchen team. Position Summary The ideal candidate enjoys working in a small, hands-on kitchen and thrives in a collaborative environment focused on quality and consistency. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Executive Chef on menu execution, daily prep, and seasonal menu development. Responsibilities Prepare and execute menu items according to Cork standards Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations Assist with prep work, inventory, and food storage Ensure proper food handling and sanitation procedures Work efficiently during high-volume service periods Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams Support menu changes and seasonal specials Qualifications 2–5+ years of professional kitchen or line cook experience preferred Strong knife skills and understanding of kitchen fundamentals Ability to multitask and work calmly under pressure Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented Passion for food, hospitality, and continuous learning Weekend and Sunday availability required Compensation & Benefits $19–$21 per hour based on experience Paid training Employee dining discounts Health and dental insurance eligibility Paid sick time Growth opportunities within a respected DC hospitality group Schedule Friday and Saturday evenings shifts Sunday Brunch shift Expected hours: 15–20 per week Work Location In person — Washington, DC To Apply: Please submit your resume along with a brief introduction describing your kitchen experience and availability.
