Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients to streamline kitchen operations Maintain cleanliness and organization of work stations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines Support meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy hours Handle food safely by following proper handling procedures, storage practices, and hygiene protocols Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation, catering orders, and special requests Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively and supporting fellow cooks and kitchen staff Skills Proven experience in a restaurant or food service setting, with a strong foundation in kitchen operations and food handling Demonstrated culinary skills including knife techniques, cooking methods, and meal preparation Familiarity with menu planning and food industry standards for quality and safety Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide responsibilities is a plus Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for sanitation and hygiene Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively within a team environment This role is paid and offers an engaging environment where your culinary talents can flourish.
