Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team at La Crosse Country Club. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing and cooking meals, ensuring that all food is prepared according to our standards and specifications. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring spices. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal service and ensure timely delivery of dishes. Monitor food quality during cooking processes to ensure consistency and safety. Adhere to food handling and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Skills Proficient knife skills for efficient food preparation. Experience working in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred. Familiarity with various cooking techniques and methods within the culinary field. Strong understanding of food handling practices within the food service industry. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented restaurant environment. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of catering operations is a plus, with an ability to adapt recipes for large-scale events.
