Job Description
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and executing menu items with consistency, quality, and efficiency. This role works as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen, ensuring all dishes are prepared according to established recipes and standards while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Requirements Qualifications Previous kitchen or line cook experience preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Team-oriented with a positive attitude Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours per shift) Frequent use of hands and arms for chopping, stirring, lifting, and plating Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (e.g., boxes, food supplies, equipment) Repetitive motions such as cutting, slicing, and reaching Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach overhead regularly Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-temperature environment (hot stoves, grills, and ovens) Ability to safely handle sharp tools and kitchen equipment Tolerance for loud noise levels and crowded workspaces Quick reflexes and coordination to move safely in a busy kitchen
