Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish Assist with menu planning by suggesting new ideas and seasonal specials to keep offerings fresh and appealing Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and assembling ingredients efficiently and safely Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols Support food handling procedures during service, ensuring proper storage, rotation, and waste management Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service and ensure timely delivery of orders Participate in catering events or special functions as needed, providing exceptional meal preparation and presentation Skills Proven experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, with a strong foundation in kitchen operations Excellent knife skills for precise cutting, slicing, and dicing of ingredients Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques to prevent contamination Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus Strong understanding of meal preparation, cooking methods, and menu planning principles Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and serving staff Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a difference!
