Pig and Khao (Upper West Side) is looking for experienced, hard-working line cooks with a fun attitude. Southeast Asian cooking experience is not required, but an ability and desire to learn IS required. WE ARE LOOKING FOR FULL AND PART TIME-NIGHTS, WEEKENDS & SAT/SUN BRUNCH AVAILABILITY REQUIRED. Since opening in 2012, Pig and Khao has been awarded 2 stars by the New York Times and named Best Asian Restaurant NYC for 2016 by Zagat. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to: Attendance and timeliness Ensuring that all dishes are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant's recipes, portioning, cooking and service standards Keeping equipment clean and in excellent working condition Maintaining a positive, work environment via effective, professional communication with other employees and managers Requirements: Experience working in a professional kitchen in NYC Knife skills and general knowledge of cooking techniques Friendly, outgoing, energetic team player with a positive attitude Ability to think quickly and multi-task in a fast paced environment Ability to communicate effectively Ability to take direction and execute Must work nights and/or weekends. Must work Sat/Sun brunch Culinary certificate or degree a plus.
