Job Overview Join our small, efficient, and family-oriented BOH team as a Line Cook/Prep Cook, which includes some dishwashing duties (all BOH and FOH participate in dishwashing), This role supports the head Chef, with an occasional weekday as primary cook, depending upon experience. Opportunity to advance to bread and pizza making which would include full-time status. Common Tasks Preparation of gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches using a flattop, and preparing fried items Vegetable prep and protein portioning Preparation of homemade sauces BBQ smoker use for pulled pork and other specials Assist in preparing ingredients and assembling other dishes according to menu specifications, particularly when there is a weekly Chef's special Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including dishwashing duties and sanitation protocols Support food handling procedures to meet safety regulations and prevent cross-contamination Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs Follow all food safety guidelines, including proper knife skills and hygiene practices Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service hours Requirements Previous experience in a food service environment such as restaurants, catering, or culinary settings is required Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation procedures Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment Join us if you’re passionate about food industry work, eager to develop your culinary skills, and ready to contribute to a vibrant team dedicated to excellence!
