Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and cooking of various dishes in our kitchen. You will work closely with the culinary team to ensure high-quality meals are prepared efficiently and according to our menu planning. Duties Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring them accurately Assist in the cooking and presentation of dishes according to recipes and quality standards Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and organized kitchen Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth operation during meal preparation Monitor food stock levels and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel Assist in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes or improvements to existing ones Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced kitchen environment Adhere to dietary department guidelines, including special dietary needs or restrictions Assist with meal preparation for catering events as needed Skills: Strong knife skills and ability to handle kitchen equipment safely Knowledge of food service procedures and best practices Familiarity with kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating Understanding of food safety regulations and ability to maintain a clean working environment Culinary training or experience in a restaurant or similar setting is preferred Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team This is a paid position with competitive compensation based on experience.
