Duties Prepare ingredients and components of dishes according to menu specifications and recipes Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely and efficient service during busy hours Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety standards Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination Support kitchen staff with cooking tasks, including chopping, mixing, and plating Assist with menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and prep needs Ensure all food is stored correctly, rotating stock and minimizing waste through proper food handling practices Experience Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly valued Demonstrated kitchen experience in restaurants or food service environments Knowledge of food industry standards, including food safety and sanitation protocols Skills in culinary techniques such as knife skills, meal preparation, and cooking methods Familiarity with catering services and serving in a fast-paced setting is a plus Experience with menu planning and food presentation enhances your candidacy Strong understanding of food handling procedures and adherence to safety regulations Embark on a rewarding culinary journey where your skills make a real impact!
