Vesta Wood-Fired is looking for an experienced and motivated Line Cook / Sauté Cook to join our kitchen team. We are a fast-paced Italian restaurant focused on high-quality food, consistency, teamwork, and strong attention to detail. We are seeking someone who works well under pressure, takes pride in their station, and is passionate about delivering excellent dishes during service. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant standards Manage sauté station efficiently during service Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines Assist with prep work, stocking, and station setup Communicate effectively with the kitchen team during service Ensure consistency, timing, and presentation of dishes Qualifications Previous experience as a line cook or sauté cook preferred Experience in Italian cuisine is a plus Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Strong multitasking and communication skills Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Weekend and evening availability preferred Compensation & Schedule Starting at $20+ per hour, based on experience Full-time and part-time positions available Flexible schedule 5 or 6 days per week available depending on availability and experience Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits Paid sick time Shift: Day shift Evening shift Night shift Experience: line cook: 2 years (Required) Shift availability: Day Shift (Required) Night Shift (Required) Ability to Commute: East Rutherford, NJ 07073 (Required) Work Location: In person
