Curfew Vero is a modern elevated gastropub, with strong craft cocktail program at a large bar and one of the most modern culinary programs in Vero Beach. Experienced Cook willing to learn and grow needed. Our ideal BOH candidates will possess the following: 1+ years kitchen experience, solid work ethic, history of reliability, passion for good food, desire to learn and grow, commitment to professionalism, willingness to work all positions. Must be organized, have great communication skills and a positive attitude. Giving the guest a great experience by exceeding expectations is our number one priority. In this energetic role, you will be the backbone of our kitchen, preparing delicious meals with precision and enthusiasm. Your culinary skills will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests, ensuring every plate is crafted with care and attention to detail. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and seasonal specials that excite our guests Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, portioning, and assembling ingredients efficiently and safely Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols at all times Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives, ovens, grills, and fryers, demonstrating strong knife skills and technical proficiency Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality standards Serve dishes promptly and professionally during busy service hours, ensuring guest satisfaction Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred Demonstrated culinary experience with a solid understanding of food handling safety practices Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus Strong kitchen experience with proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly Knowledge of menu planning processes and ability to adapt recipes as needed Excellent knife skills with attention to detail in food presentation Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of quality and safety Embark on a rewarding culinary journey with us!
