Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients to streamline kitchen operations Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines Support menu planning efforts by suggesting new ideas and ensuring ingredient availability for daily specials Handle food service duties efficiently during busy hours, including plating, garnishing, and serving dishes promptly Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure freshness of all ingredients Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen flow and timely delivery of orders Requirements Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment, with a strong foundation in food preparation and cooking techniques Knowledge of dietary department standards and dietary aide experience is a plus Proficiency in knife skills, meal preparation, and food handling safety protocols Familiarity with culinary practices such as menu planning, catering support, and food presentation Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail and quality Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards serving guests and supporting colleagues Basic understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation standards Embark on a culinary journey where your skills are valued, your creativity is encouraged, and every day brings new opportunities to craft memorable dining experiences!
