Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards Assist in food presentation, ensuring dishes are visually appealing and served promptly Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations Support menu planning by suggesting new ideas and assisting with ingredient prep Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service times Adhere to all food safety guidelines, including proper knife skills, storage, and sanitation practices Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred Demonstrated culinary experience with food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly Knowledge of dietary department standards and dietary aide procedures is a plus Familiarity with food industry best practices for food handling and safety protocols Experience with catering or large-scale meal preparation is advantageous Strong knife skills and proficiency in basic cooking techniques are essential Prior kitchen experience that showcases teamwork, efficiency, and attention to detail Embark on a rewarding culinary journey where your skills make a real impact!
