PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting care, and patience in all customer interactions.Smile and greets customers in a friendly manner.Assist customers by escorting them to the products they're looking for.Perform other helpful tasks that will enhance the shopping experience.Treat customers as the most important people in the store.Operate cash register.Ensure that shelves and displays are always fully stocked.Maintain a clean and safe store appearance and environment.Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.Understand, follow and ensure compliance with all local, state, and company policies regarding the sale of alcohol, tobacco, lottery and packaged goods.TIPS training must be completed BEFORE you can begin first shift.SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM THIS JOB:Must have availability to work ALL WEEKDAY NIGHTS AND WEEKEND DAYS AND NIGHTS.Must be at least 19 years old.Must have a clean criminal background.Must submit to a complete background check.Applicant MUST live locally and have RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION.Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50lbs, climbing stairs and stand for extended periods of time.Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with multiple variables as they are presented.Must have the ability to perform simple arithmetic calculations.Must have the ability to understand and follow written, verbal or demonstrated instructions.Should have basic communications and computer skills.Retail experience and Lottery is a plus.Must be flexible enough to work all nights, weekends and holidays.Employee Agreement will be provided.Job Type:Part-time Pay:From $16.00 per hour Expected hours:15 - 20 per week Shift availability:Night Shift (Required) Ability to Commute:Township of Brick, NJ 08723 (Required) Ability to Relocate:Township of Brick, NJ 08723:Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location:In person.
