Mid-Level Litigation Associate Location: Bay Area (Hybrid) A highly regarded boutique litigation firm is seeking a mid-level associate (JD 2017–2022) to join its complex commercial litigation practice . This is an opportunity to work on sophisticated, high-exposure matters in a collaborative, high-performing environment. Responsibilities Handle all phases of complex commercial litigation, from pre-litigation strategy through trial Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery Manage cases and interface directly with clients Collaborate closely with partners and small, lean teams Qualifications JD class year 2017–2022 Experience in complex commercial litigation Strong writing, analytical, and case management skills Background from a reputable firm (boutique or large firm preferred) Admitted to the California Bar Compensation & Benefits Base salary (1,750 hours): ~$220K – $315K (class year dependent) Structured true-ups at 1,825 and 1,900 hours , increasing total compensation based on billables Top-end compensation reaches $362K+ (and up to ~$375K for senior class years) at 1,900 hours Discretionary bonus eligibility begins at 1,750 hours BigLaw-level pay at a 1,750-hour foundation, with upside into the mid-$300Ks — without a 2,000+ hour requ Hybrid schedule (2 days/week in office) Full benefits package Why This Opportunity This platform offers a unique combination of top-tier compensation, high-level work, and a more sustainable billable model , along with a clear path toward partnership.
