Position Summary A litigation practice specializing in insurance defense is seeking an experienced Litigation Secretary to support attorneys in its Glendale office. The role provides comprehensive administrative and litigation support in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Prepare, format, and e-file legal documents in California state and federal courts Manage litigation calendars, deadlines, and attorney schedules Draft and proofread pleadings, correspondence, discovery shells, TOCs/TOAs Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and client meetings Maintain organized electronic and physical case files Communicate with courts, opposing counsel, clients, and vendors Assist with trial preparation, exhibits, binders, and logistics Track litigation deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules Qualifications High school diploma required; legal secretary or paralegal training preferred 3+ years of litigation secretarial experience (insurance defense preferred) Strong knowledge of California state court e-filing procedures Familiarity with civil litigation rules and deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask Preferred Experience Insurance defense or civil litigation firm background Experience supporting multiple attorneys in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with billing/timekeeping systems (e.g., Aderant, Elite, or similar) Trial preparation and California court filing experience
