OverviewWe are seeking a highly capable, hands-on Building Superintendent to oversee the day-to-day operations of a Co-Op residential property.This is an opportunity for a motivated professional who takes pride in their work, leads by example, and is committed to maintaining a high standard of building performance and resident satisfaction.The ideal candidate is a self-starter who does not wait to be told what to do, can confidently manage staff, and brings both technical skill and practical problem-solving ability to the role.Key Responsibilities Oversee daily building operations, ensuring the property is clean, safe, and running efficiently Supervise and manage building staff, setting expectations and maintaining accountability Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs, including apartment turnovers and general improvements Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) Proactively identify issues and resolve them before they escalate Coordinate with management, vendors, and contractors as needed Respond to maintenance requests and building emergencies in a timely and professional manner Qualifications Proven experience as a Building Superintendent or in a similar hands-on property maintenance role Strong working knowledge of building systems Demonstrated ability to manage and lead staff effectively Skilled in apartment repairs, renovations, and general maintenance work Self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic Fluent in Spanish (required) to effectively communicate with staff and residents Ability to take initiative and operate independently without constant supervision Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Live-in apartment provided after successful completion of a 3-month probationary period Stable, long-term opportunity with consistent work Pay:From $69,000.00 per year Benefits:Paid time off Language:English and Spanish (Required) Work Location:In person.
