Live-in Caregiver

Job Overview PLEASE READ JOB DESCRIPTION BEFORE APPLYING We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide essential support and care to individuals in our 6-bed board and care facility. THIS POSITION IS A LIVE IN POSITION. THIS MEANS THE FACILITY WILL BE YOUR PERMANENT RESIDENCE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting their overall well-being. This role requires a nurturing attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle various caregiving tasks. Responsibilities Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life. Help with household tasks such as cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry. Monitor clients’ health by observing changes in condition and reporting any concerns to admin or the residents healthcare team. Support clients with mobility needs, including heavy lifting when necessary. Provide direct support for individuals with disabilities or dementia care as required. Ensure a safe environment by maintaining cleanliness and organization within the home. Administer CPR or first aid if needed and follow emergency protocols as necessary. Qualifications Previous experience in caregiving is preferred. Knowledge of CPR and basic first aid practices is essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or dementia care is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and their families. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are crucial traits for this role.
