Job Description
Role Performs a variety of loan processing and servicing activities in support of the Bank's portfolio of loans in conformance with the Bank's strategies, policies and procedures by performing the following duties. Performs the highest level of quality customer service. This position may be designated as a dual employee of the Thomaston Mortgage Services Passive Investment Company (PIC) and may be required to participate in the annual PIC time study. Major Duties and Responsibilities Books all residential and commercial loans on the Bank's core system, including complex commercial loans secured by real estate. Set-up of loans secured by real estate coincides with years of experience. For dual control, may also review loan set-ups done by other Loan Operations staff. Processes release of funds to borrowers in connection with new loans and credit line advances. Process renewals of existing loan relationships and assures for accuracy. Maintains the Bank's loan files, ensuring current and accurate documentation. Processes pay offs, and releases mortgages, assignments of leases and UCC filings. Obtains current UCC and title documentation including UCC continuations. Prepares Assignments of Mortgage. Sets up and maintains commercial and residential construction loan files, makes construction disbursements, issues lien waivers and acts as liaison with clients throughout construction. Responsible for responding to emails sent to Consumer and Commercial Loan Operations. Processes tax, flood and escrow disbursement, payments and reporting. Receives incoming calls from the Bank's borrowers. Answers routine questions and troubleshoots any complaint or question from internal or external clients. Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control EOE, including disability/vets
