Pyramid Consulting is seeking a local contract nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a local contract nursing job in Atlanta, Georgia. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/01/2026 Duration: 8 weeks 35 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Local Contract Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse – Float Pool Department: Emergency Department (Float Pool) Assignment Type: Contract / Travel Work Environment: High-volume, fast-paced ED (Level 1 Trauma Facility) Shift: Nights, 36 Hrs/week Position Overview We are seeking an experienced ED Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic Float Pool supporting a very busy Emergency Department . This role primarily involves caring for boarder patients in the ED, including those from Med/Surg, Stepdown, and ICU levels of care. Candidates must be flexible, as they may be required to float to acute care units when needed. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to ED boarder patients across multiple acuity levels Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions accurately Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as required Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Adapt quickly to changing patient needs in a high-pressure environment Float to other acute care units when required Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a similar-sized Level 1 Trauma facility Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Required certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) About Pyramid Consulting Supercharge your career with Pyramid Consulting.
