Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Local Ready Mix Driver with a CDL Class A or B license! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to deliver ready mix concrete to construction sites, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation and construction site familiarity will help keep projects moving smoothly. Duties Safely operate commercial vehicles, including dump trucks and concrete mixers, to transport ready mix concrete to various construction locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, ensuring all safety standards are met. Load and unload materials using heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, or concrete pumps, adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate delivery logs, delivery tickets, and vehicle inspection records. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and construction crews to coordinate delivery schedules and site requirements. Assist with on-site tasks such as concrete finishing, rebar installation, or basic formwork when needed. Follow all federal, state, and local transportation regulations, including proper licensing and safety procedures. Requirements Valid CDL Class A or B license with a clean driving record. Experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, or concrete pumps is highly desirable. Knowledge of construction site operations including paving, rebar installation, and concrete forming. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks. Strong understanding of commercial vehicle safety standards and regulations. Prior experience working on construction sites or in concrete-related roles is preferred. Ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
