Locum Inpatient Gastroenterologist Needed in NJ! Specialty: Gastroenterology (Physician) Start Date: January 2026 Duration: 6-month contract A well-established hospital in Northern New Jersey is seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist to provide inpatient locum tenens coverage beginning in January 2026. This opportunity offers consistent scheduling, flexible block options, and the chance to work alongside a strong hospitalist and intensivist support team. Position Highlights Schedule: MondayFriday, 8-hour shifts + emergency on-call Coverage: 7 days/week, 2 weeks per month Setting: Inpatient-only, Epic EMR Average Census: 510 patients per day Solo provider model with full access to hospital support services Procedural Scope Perform a broad range of GI procedures, including: Diagnostic & Therapeutic ERCP EGD, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, and Colonoscopy Esophageal Dilation and Stent Placement PEG Placement, Paracentesis, and Tumor Ablation Management of GI Bleeds, Pancreatitis, and Peptic Ulcer Disease Requirements Board Certified in Gastroenterology Active New Jersey Medical License ACLS Certification Comfort with inpatient consults and procedures Why This Assignment Flexible 2-week-per-month schedule Established hospital program with strong inpatient support Competitive locum rate with paid travel, lodging, and malpractice For immediate consideration apply now with your most updated CV!
