Target Start Date 3/4/2024 Target End Date 12/31/2024 An established client in central Connecticut that has an opening for a Hematologist Oncologist to provide locum coverage. Opening Details: Level I Trauma Schedule: 3 clinic days (Mon-Fri), 8:00a-4:30p Call Schedule: Weekends: 2-3 per year and nights 1:10 Setting: Inpatient consults and outpatient clinic Breakdown: 80% Hem/20% Onc Patient Population: Adults/Geriatric Daily Volume: 10-15 patients 10 physicians & 8 APPs EMR: Epic Must be board-certified Paid travel & lodging If you are interested, please apply to learn more. QUALIFICATIONS Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) National Institutes of Health (NIH) Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Active unencumbered Connecticut physician state license Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program One year of work experience as Hematology/Oncology physician One year of Epic experience Board Certified SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
