Nurse Practitioner | Psychiatry - General/Other Location: Maryland Employer: AAS Locum Tenens Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: 4 days x 10 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for a fully remote locum tenens opportunity. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and young adults in a collaborative virtual care environment. Ideal candidates will have strong experience in pediatric and adolescent psychiatry and value flexibility, autonomy, and meaningful patient impact. This is a 1099 contract role designed for clinicians who are comfortable practicing independently while contributing to a supportive, mission-driven team. Schedule Requirements: Minimum commitment of 10 hours per week Availability during peak demand hours: After 3:00 PM ET on weekdays, and/or Flexible availability on weekends Key Responsibilities: Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing assessments via telehealth Diagnose and treat mental health conditions in pediatric and young adult populations (ages 2+) Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans Provide patient and family education as appropriate Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EHR Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure continuity of care Requirements: Master’s Degree from an accredited nursing program Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania PMHNP/CRNP/APN license DEA license and prescriptive authority required Minimum 2 years of independent psychiatric experience under licensure Demonstrated experience working with pediatric populations (ages 2+) Strong proficiency with telehealth platforms, EHR systems, and digital tools Reliable computer, phone, and high-speed internet connection Compensation & Benefits: Compensation: $120/hour (1099) Professional liability insurance fully covered Dedicated administrative support to minimize non-clinical workload
