Nurse Practitioner | Surgery - Cardiothoracic Location: Grand Forks, ND Employer: Adelphi Locums Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) – Cardiothoracic Surgery Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Grand Forks, ND Primary Worksite: Altru Hospital (Clinic & Hospital) Service Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: ASAP – End of July 2026 Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Volume: 10–14 clinic patients per day Case Mix: Cardiothoracic surgery patients (pre/post-operative care, inpatient rounding) Rounding: Yes – inpatient rounding required FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Support Staff: RN and LPN (clinic support) Team Structure: 2 Cardiothoracic Surgeons + 2 APPs (1 on leave) Reason for Coverage: Provider leave COMPENSATION & RATES Rate: TBD Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: TBD REQUIRED PROCEDURES Cardiothoracic post-operative care Inpatient rounding Pre- and post-surgical patient management Basic CT surgery support procedures (per scope) JOB REQUIREMENTS Provider Type: NP or PA Experience: Minimum 1 year (CT surgery experience required) Specialty Experience: Cardiothoracic Surgery (required) Licensure: Active North Dakota license preferred Certifications: As required for NP/PA practice DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Perform inpatient rounding and manage post-surgical CT patients See and manage clinic patients in collaboration with CT surgeons Assist in continuity of care across inpatient and outpatient settings Collaborate with surgeons, nursing staff, and care teams Document all patient encounters in Epic EMR
