Required Skills NP or PA with surgical experience, preferably in cardiothoracic procedures Ability to perform procedures: CABG, AVR, Lung Strong hospital rounding and patient management skills Experience with Vein Harvesting Proficiency in EMR systems, specifically Cerner Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Willingness to be on call and handle patient documentation efficiently Nice to Have Skills: Background in general surgery or trauma care Cardiology or critical care experience Previous locum or temporary staffing experience Bilingual abilities to communicate with diverse patient populations Preferred Education and Experience: Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with current licensure At least 2 years of hospital-based or surgical experience Previous cardiothoracic surgical assistance or perioperative care Other Requirements: Credentialing process may take up to 90 days; must complete DHMF and St. Bernardine credentialing packets Must be available to start on or after May 9, 2026 Ability to work 24-hour shifts (7am to 7am) four times per month Must have valid certifications and licenses, including malpractice coverage Travel and lodging arrangements preferred within local San Bernardino area (Hampton Inn or nearby) This is an outstanding chance to elevate your career while providing expert care in a supportive environment.
