Medical Center of the Rockies in scenic Loveland, Colorado, is seeking a highly skilled Locum Nurse Practitioner to support our dynamic cardiac surgery team. What You’ll Bring Proficiency in major cardiac surgical procedures including CABG with EVH, endoscopic radial harvesting, valve repairs and replacements, aneurysm repairs, congenital defect repairs (ASD, VSD, PFO), and thoracic surgeries Experience with lung resections, chest wall or pleural procedures, esophageal and diaphragm surgeries Competence in managing Left Ventricular Assist Devices and arterial line insertions Ability to handle 1-3 surgeries per day for adult patients Strong communication skills and attention to detail Current licensure and certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Colorado or eligible for licensure Preferred Skills & Qualifications: Prior experience as a First Assist in cardiac and thoracic surgeries Familiarity with hospital-based surgical environments and multidisciplinary teams Ability to work independently while coordinating with a team of surgeons and healthcare providers Educational & Experience Requirements: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program Valid NP certification and state licensure Previous hands-on experience in advanced cardiovascular surgical procedures is highly preferred Additional Requirements: Must obtain hospital privileges upon credentialing (expected 90-120 days) Ability to travel and arrange accommodations in Loveland, CO, with flights and lodging reimbursed within guidelines Willingness to work full-time, including a schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week, with nighttime and weekend call responsibilities Ability to provide coverage exclusively at Medical Center of the Rockies (no other hospitals involved) Why Join Us?
