What You Bring to the Table: Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in surgical care Proficiency in wound cauterization, vessel packing, suturing, and hemostasis Ability to position patients for optimal surgical access and assist with operating room procedures Competency in managing patient rounds, documentation, orders, and discharge planning Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team Current NY State license and active board certification BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications are required Nice-to-Have Skills: Robotics experience highly preferred Experience with EPIC charting system Prior work in general surgery, OB/GYN, or orthopedics Flexibility to participate in on-call rotations and weekend coverage Preferred Education and Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent hands-on experience in surgical or medical-surgical units Certification in Surgical First Assist (preferred but not mandatory) Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work in a high-acuity environment Additional Requirements: Availability for full-time coverage starting in September, with shifts including 4x10-hour days, weekday call, weekend call, and potential night shifts Must adhere to strict dress code, safety, and hygiene standards Willingness to participate in ongoing training and remain current with certifications Ability to work in a patient-centered environment with adults experiencing diverse medical conditions This position offers a competitive hourly pay of $131.32, along with comprehensive benefits including weekly pay via direct deposit, medical coverage, paid sick leave, licensure, certification, travel reimbursements when applicable, and access to our dedicated support team committed to your success.
