Are you a dedicated Advance Practice Provider seeking a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in trauma care? North Memorial Health invites you to take on a vital temporary role as a Locum NP/PA specializing in Trauma Surgery. This dynamic position offers a unique chance to work in a fast-paced, Level I adult trauma center, providing comprehensive care to patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics. Be part of a committed team delivering high-quality trauma management and surgical support in a collaborative environment that prioritizes your growth and success. Required Skills: Valid NP or PA license in Minnesota or eligibility to obtain licensure Proven experience in trauma or critical care setting Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills Ability to respond swiftly to trauma alerts and manage complex cases Proficiency in procedures such as chest tube insertion, central line placement, arterial line management, suturing minor lacerations, and non-invasive ventilation management Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities Ability to work independently with supervision support available Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience in surgical or trauma critical care environments Experience with EHR systems, preferably Epic (EPICT) Additional procedural skills (e.g., intubation, advanced airway management) Preferred Education and Experience: Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or Physician Assistant Certification Minimum 2 years of trauma or emergency department experience preferred Familiarity with Level I trauma protocols and pediatric trauma care is a plus Other Requirements: Availability from April 28, 2026, through July 2026, with potential for full-time hours In-house coverage only; no call responsibilities Must be comfortable managing an average of 10-14 patients daily (excluding ICU), with admit and discharge responsibilities Ability to respond to trauma alerts, facilitate discharges, and perform ED admissions Travel and licensing-related reimbursements available; credentialing costs are non-reimbursed Take the next step in your trauma care career—apply now to join a dedicated team committed to excellence in patient outcomes and professional growth.
