Nurse Practitioner | Urology Location: Eureka, CA Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Join Our Dynamic Urology Team as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant! Are you a dedicated healthcare professional passionate about providing exceptional urological care? We are seeking a highly skilled and autonomous Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our renowned urology department starting August 1, 2026. This exciting locum opportunity allows you to work in a supportive environment, balancing clinical responsibilities with hospital rounding, all while making a meaningful difference in patients' lives. Required Skills: Active California Nurse Practitioner (NNCCPA) certification and CA state license Valid CA DEA license Demonstrated ability to operate independently with minimal supervision Strong clinical judgment and proficient surgical knowledge Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced clinical setting Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience in urology or surgical specialties Experience with hospital-based clinical work Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Preferred Education and Experience: Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies Minimum of 2 years of current hospital-based clinical experience in urology or related field Documented case logs for surgical procedures (if applicable) Ability to explain any gaps in employment or clinical activity exceeding 3 months Other Requirements: Valid California medical license and active hospital privileges Ability to commit to at least 8 hours per day, with overtime payable after 8 hours Willingness to perform hospital rounds and clinic duties as scheduled Updated CV including all hospital affiliations Certification and licensure must be current and verifiable; ensure readiness for privileging process Travel, licensure, and certification reimbursements available as applicable Take the next step in your healthcare career by joining a dedicated team committed to excellence.
