Required Skills Valid Nurse Practitioner license with certification Proficiency in first assisting with CABG, AVR, MVR, thoracotomy, and lung resection cases Experience in surgical inpatient, telemetry, and ICU settings Strong clinical assessment and procedural skills Ability to manage call rotations, inpatient rounds, and procedures efficiently Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience working in a cardiothoracic surgical environment Familiarity with Epic EMR systems Ability to perform vein harvests, chest tube placements, and related surgical procedures Preferred Education and Experience: Master's or Doctoral level Nurse Practitioner degree Minimum of 2+ years of relevant cardiothoracic surgical experience preferred Other Requirements: Must have or obtain KY state licensure Ability to perform advanced procedures as required Willingness to participate in call rotations (including weekends and holidays) No malpractice issues or licensing restrictions that could impede practice Travel accommodations arranged via preferred hotels if out of town; local candidates preferred If you're eager to bring your expertise to a reputable hospital and enjoy a supportive team environment, we encourage you to apply now!
