Required Skills Valid Physician Assistant license and active California licensure with CA DEA certification Ability to perform Radical and Endoscope Vein Harvesting Proficient in interpreting EKGs, X-rays, labs, ECMO, IABP, and Impella devices Experience assisting in the operating room and managing ICU or step-down patients Excellent clinical judgment and technical skills in cardiovascular and thoracic procedures Nice to Have Skills 3-5 years of relevant clinical experience in cardiothoracic or vascular surgery Prior experience with IABP, Impella, ECMO management Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Preferred Education and Experience Master's degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program Demonstrated experience in high-volume cardiac surgery environments or ICU settings Other Requirements Flexible schedule with availability for 3-4 days per week, including call rotation Call duties split 50/50 with another PA, including weekday and weekend on-call rotations Guaranteed minimum of 8 hours per day, with overtime paid after 8 hours Willingness to work clinical/hospital hours from 7am-3pm, Monday through Friday, with on-call responsibilities from 3pm-7am the next day during weekdays and 3pm Friday to 7am Monday on weekends Willingness to undertake hospital-based duties such as OR assisting, rounding, and clinic work This is an exceptional opportunity to be part of a dedicated team committed to surgical excellence and patient care.
