Physician Assistant | Surgery - General/Other Location: Loveland, CO Employer: AAS Locum Tenens Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position We are seeking a Locums Cardiovascular Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide coverage at a Level I Trauma Center in Loveland, CO. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cardiovascular surgery APP seeking a full-time locums assignment in a high-acuity surgical environment with a collaborative care team. Compensation: $160 Per Hour Assignment Details Start Date: September (credentialing takes approximately 3 months) Schedule: Full-time 4 ten-hour shifts per week Call Schedule: One night per week One weekend per month Weekend coverage required Practice Setting Level I Trauma Center 100% adult patient population Surgical volume averages 1–3 cases per day Collaborative cardiovascular and thoracic surgery team environment Responsibilities Assist with the management of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery patients in inpatient and perioperative settings Participate in cardiovascular surgery call coverage First assist in cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures Perform pre-operative and post-operative evaluations and patient management Collaborate closely with surgeons, ICU teams, anesthesia, and nursing staff Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the EMR Required Experience & Procedures Candidates should have experience with: CABG procedures with EVH and endoscopic radial harvesting General cardiovascular and thoracic surgery cases: Open procedures Endoscopic procedures Coronary artery bypass procedures: On-pump Off-pump Congenital defect repairs: ASD VSD PFO Valvular repair and replacement Aorto-thoracic aneurysm repair Lung resections including VATS procedures Chest wall and pleural procedures Esophagus and diaphragm surgeries Left ventricular assist devices (LVADs) Arterial line insertion Requirements Active Colorado NP or PA license required BLS certification required
