Doctor of Medicine | Anesthesiology - General/Other Location: Dayton, OH Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Join Our Team as a Pediatric Anesthesiologist Locum at Dayton Children's – Make a Difference in Pediatric Care! Are you a dedicated anesthesiologist looking for a rewarding locum opportunity in a dynamic, renowned pediatric hospital? Dayton Children's is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Anesthesiologist to provide exceptional coverage from August 10 to November 16, 2026. This is your chance to contribute to a busy Level 1 Trauma Center, collaborating with a collegial team to deliver top-tier care to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients in a vibrant healthcare setting. What You’ll Need to Succeed: Medical degree with board certification in Anesthesiology Valid medical license in Ohio or eligibility to obtain one DEA and other relevant certifications up-to-date Experience supervising CRNAs in a care team model Ability to handle a diverse patient population from neonatal to adult patients Strong communication and teamwork skills Availability for the specified dates, with flexibility for travel arrangements Additional Assets That Make You Stand Out: Prior experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center or similar high-volume setting Familiarity with pediatric anesthesia in surgical and trauma environments Comfortable managing a high caseload of 50-60 surgical cases per day Preferred Education and Experience: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with active Ohio medical licensure At least 2 years of clinical anesthesiology experience, including pediatric cases Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Other Requirements & Important Details: Will supervise CRNAs as part of a care team model No requirement to prepare anesthesia carts Ability to start on August 10 and work through November 16, 2026 Willingness to complete credentialing requirements including fingerprinting promptly upon acceptance Travel expenses—including mileage, flights, hotel, and rental car—are reimbursed per facility policy This is an outstanding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in pediatric anesthesiology while working in a supportive and professional environment.
