Doctor of Medicine | Critical Care Location: Indianapolis, IN Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Join Our Team as an Internal Medicine - Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist Elevate patient care in a dynamic, collaborative environment by becoming a key member of our cardiology team specializing in advanced heart failure management. This role offers the opportunity to work at state-of-the-art facilities, providing inpatient rounding support, and making a meaningful impact on patients' lives with complex cardiac conditions. If you're passionate about heart failure and transplant cardiology and thrive in a fast-paced hospital setting, we want to hear from you! Required Skills Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. Subspecialty training or extensive experience in advanced heart failure management and VADs. Proven expertise in inpatient cardiology, including complex patient care. Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team. Flexibility to commit a minimum of 2 weeks per month. Nice to Have Skills: Experience with heart transplant programs (note: transplant services are not available at this facility). Prior experience supporting hospitalist services and critical care. Familiarity with VAD management protocols. Subspecialty support credentials in heart failure or transplant cardiology. Availability for locum to perm transitions. Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution. Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant clinical experience in advanced heart failure settings. Prior inpatient hospital-based practice preferred. Other Requirements: Valid medical license in the state. Certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS). Willingness to support inpatient services at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital and Community Hospital North located on North campus. No transplant responsibilities at this location; focus on VADs and heart failure consults. Ability to work with a 24/7 in-house hospitalist and critical care team. Open to candidates interested in locum to perm arrangements. Reliable transportation and participation in hospital credentialing processes.
