This role offers flexible PRN scheduling, a collaborative environment, and the opportunity to work alongside internal medicine residents in a dynamic ICU. Position Overview Specialty: Critical Care Start Date: August 24, 2026 Duration: Ongoing (13+ weeks) Schedule Type: PRN (as-needed coverage) Shifts Available: Nights: 7:00 PM – 8:00 AM Weekend Options: 7:00 PM – 8:00 AM 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM (swing shift) Coverage Type: Scheduled shifts (No Call) Practice Setting Adult ICU environment 20-bed unit with an average daily census of 16–19 patients Reduced weekend census with shared attending coverage Supervision of Internal Medicine residents Opportunity to perform procedures when residents are unavailable EMR: Epic Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients Supervise and collaborate with internal medicine residents Perform necessary procedures as required Ensure continuity and quality of patient care during assigned shifts Requirements Board Certified in Critical Care Active Massachusetts medical license (required) BLS and ACLS certifications Minimum 1 year of Critical Care experience Experience with Epic EMR preferred Additional Details Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 90 days Local candidates only (no travel or lodging provided) This is a great opportunity for physicians seeking flexibility, consistent ICU exposure, and a collaborative teaching environment .
