This is a well-balanced emergency department offering flexible scheduling, manageable volume, and strong clinical support. This assignment is ideal for physicians seeking consistent monthly shifts in a lower-volume, high-quality practice environment. Opportunity Snapshot Contract Type: Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens Start Date: July 31, 2026 Duration: 6+ months (ongoing need) Shifts Available: ~10 shifts per month Shift Options: Weekdays: 7a–3p | 3p–11p | 11p–7a Weekends: 7a–4p | 1p–10p | 10p–7a EMR: Meditech Facility Overview 43-bed community hospital Level III Trauma Center 13 ED beds Annual ED Volume: ~17,500 Patients per Hour: ~2.0 This is a well-paced ED environment with a steady but manageable patient flow. Practice Environment MD + APP collaborative staffing model Physicians supervise APPs as part of coverage No scribe support Full-spectrum emergency medicine practice This is a hands-on EM role with autonomy and support in a community setting.
