Doctor of Medicine | Emergency Medicine Location: Myrtle Beach, SC Employer: Rhino Medical Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Contract Duration: 2 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens Opportunity ABEM/AOBEM Only • Night Shifts • Main ED + New Freestanding ER Coverage Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians for a high-priority locum tenens opportunity in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina , supporting an established regional Emergency Medicine program with multiple new freestanding emergency departments coming online in 2026. This is a rare opportunity to step into a growing coastal Emergency Medicine platform early, with long-term coverage needs, cross-credentialing across multiple sites, and consistent night shift availability. Opportunity Details Location: Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Contract Type: Emergency Medicine Locum Tenens Start Date: Upon credentialing Assignment Length: Approximately 12 months Shift Type: Nights required Shift Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Coverage Need: 12–24 shifts per month Setting: Main hospital ED and affiliated freestanding emergency departments Practice Environment This opportunity supports a large regional Emergency Medicine network with a main hospital ED and multiple freestanding emergency departments. Program highlights include Approximately 110,000 annual visits across the regional ED platform Approximately 70 ED beds across the system Average patient volume around 2.4 patients per hour Physician only coverage model at new freestanding ED sites initially APC support across the broader Emergency Medicine program EMR: Meditech Dictation: MModal No scribe coverage Most shifts are expected to support freestanding emergency department coverage, with the main hospital serving as the tertiary referral and trauma support site. New Freestanding ED Rollout Multiple new freestanding emergency departments are scheduled to launch in 2026, creating a major long-term coverage need across the Myrtle Beach region. Projected FSED volume Year 1: Approximately 32 visits per day Year 2: Approximately 33 visits per day This is an opportunity to help stabilize and support newly launched Emergency Medicine sites from the ground up.
