Doctor of Medicine | Emergency Medicine Location: Pensacola, FL Employer: Rhino Medical Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Contract Duration: 2 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pensacola, Florida Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens Opportunity Multiple ER Sites • Flexible Shifts • Coastal Florida Rhino Medical is actively seeking ABEM/AOBEM Emergency Medicine Physicians for a long-term locum tenens opportunity in Pensacola, Florida , supporting a regional Emergency Medicine system that includes a main hospital ED and multiple freestanding emergency departments (FSEDs) . This is a high-functioning, multi-site platform offering flexibility, consistent shift availability, and a balanced clinical environment. Opportunity Details Location: Pensacola, Florida Contract Type: Emergency Medicine Locum Tenens Start Date: ASAP – Ongoing (6+ months) Shift Structure: 12-hour shifts available Afternoon shifts: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM Night shifts required: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (FSED coverage) 48+ shifts available per month Practice Environment Coverage across hospital ED + multiple freestanding ERs 32–36 hours/day of combined physician and APP coverage Team-based care model with consistent support EMR: Meditech Expanse Established, stable Emergency Medicine program This is a mature, well-supported system designed for efficiency and consistency . Clinical Scope Full-spectrum Emergency Medicine Mix of higher-acuity hospital cases and efficient FSED flow ~1.5 patients per hour Standard EM procedures required Facility Overview Main Hospital ED: ~50,000+ annual visits ~35 ED beds ~300-bed hospital Level IV trauma center Freestanding ER Network: Multiple sites across the Pensacola area Lower-acuity, streamlined patient flow Fully equipped with imaging, lab, and transfer capabilities This structure provides variety in pace and practice setting within a single assignment .
