Doctor of Medicine | Gastroenterology Location: Potsdam, NY Employer: Lancesoft Inc Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: 6/29/2026 About the Position We are seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens assignment providing 24-hour call coverage with weekday office and procedural responsibilities. This role includes inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology services for adult patients with a broad range of acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions. The physician will perform upper and lower endoscopic procedures and participate in consults, follow-ups, and coordinated patient care with the medical team. Schedule Highlights: 24-hour call coverage Office & procedure expectations Monday–Friday during call Office hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Procedure hours: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM Weekend 24-hour call required Assignment Blocks (7 AM – 7 AM): June 29 – July 6 July 6 – July 13 July 13 – July 20 July 20 – July 27 July 27 – August 3 August 3 – August 10 August 10 – August 17 August 17 – August 24 August 24 – August 31 The physician will work alongside anesthesia support for procedures and a dedicated care team, including an NP and LPN. Patient population consists of acutely ill adults with diverse gastrointestinal diagnoses. Requirements Board Certified in Gastroenterology Active New York State Medical License Minimum 2 years of recent experience (within the last 2 years) Proficiency in upper and lower endoscopy Epic EMR experience required Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications DEA required No work history gaps exceeding 30 days If any malpractice history exists, a physician statement is required Benefits All orientation hours are paid Malpractice coverage provided Support from a dedicated account management team Opportunity to work in an accredited acute care hospital with established clinical support Collaborative environment with anesthesia and nursing staff
