This is an exciting opportunity to provide vital outpatient cancer care in a vibrant Level II Trauma Center, supporting adult and geriatric patients during a key transition period. Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Locum Physician to deliver exceptional hematology and oncology outpatient services at Bon Secours - St. Rita's. Covering from September 1, 2026, through January 18, 2027, this role offers a rewarding chance to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating on patient evaluations, treatment plans, and tumor board discussions. With no on-call or weekend requirements, this position allows you to focus on delivering excellent care while maintaining a balanced schedule. Required Skills Medical degree (MD/DO) with valid license to practice in Ohio Board-certified or eligible in Hematology and Oncology Proven experience in outpatient hematology and oncology care Proficiency with the EPIC electronic medical record system Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills Ability to interpret labs, imaging, and develop tailored treatment plans Nice to Have Skills Experience with chemotherapy administration coordination Prior work in Level II trauma or hospital-based outpatient settings Comfort participating in tumor board discussions and multidisciplinary teams Preferred Education and Experience Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Minimum 2 years of relevant outpatient hematology/oncology experience Familiarity with outpatient oncology procedures and workflows Other Requirements Credentialing estimated to take approximately 120 days Travel costs reimbursed, including flights, hotel, rental car, and mileage at IRS rates Availability Monday through Wednesday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no additional on-call or weekend duties required Seize this rewarding locum opportunity to enhance your professional journey while making a difference in patient lives.
