Are you a dedicated Hematology Oncology physician seeking a dynamic temporary opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care? We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Locum Physician to provide vital outpatient services in Pontiac, Michigan. Overview: This Locum position at McLaren Oakland is an excellent opportunity to bridge a recruitment gap and deliver exceptional hematology and oncology outpatient care. You'll be responsible for managing a steady patient volume, participating in tumor board discussions, and supporting a comprehensive multidisciplinary team. Your expertise will help ensure seamless continuity of care in a supportive, well-equipped outpatient setting, including infusion services and onsite diagnostics. Required Skills: Medical Degree (MD/DO) from an accredited institution Board Certification or Eligibility in Hematology and Oncology Valid Michigan medical license or ability to obtain one Proven experience in outpatient hematology and oncology care Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and patient management abilities Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team Comfortable participating in tumor board meetings Proficiency with EMR systems, preferably Cerner Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience in a hospital or outpatient oncology setting Familiarity with infusion therapy procedures Experience working with a diverse patient population Bilingual skills or additional language proficiencies Preferred Education and Experience: Medical degree (MD/DO) from an accredited medical school Minimum of 2 years of outpatient hematology/oncology practice experience Current board certification or board eligibility in Hematology and Oncology Valid and active Michigan medical license or ability to obtain one Other Requirements: Availability for scheduled outpatient clinic coverage Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including clinic call as needed Ability to work within a Cerner EMR environment Compliance with all licensing, certification, and hospital regulations Willingness to participate in tumor board meetings and on-call duties No travel or lodging outside of local needs; mileage and incidental expenses reimbursed within policy limits Take this opportunity to join a reputable organization committed to your professional growth and patient care excellence.
