Doctor of Medicine | Hospitalist Location: Southaven, MS Employer: Rhino Medical Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Contract Duration: 2 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Southaven, Mississippi Hospitalist Physician Locum Tenens Opportunity Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking a hospitalist physician to provide inpatient acute care at a top-rated, 339-bed hospital in Southaven, Mississippi. This high-acuity setting offers a structured, short-term assignment ideal for internal medicine or family medicine physicians seeking focused inpatient coverage. Opportunity Details Location: Southaven, MS Duration: 2 weeks — starting April 1, 2026 Schedule: 40 hours per week with shifts covering day, swing, and night hours Shifts: Day: 7a-7p with 8 physicians and 3 NPPAs Swing: Variable (noon-midnight, depending on patient volume) with 1 physician Night: 7p-7a with 2 physicians and 1 NPPA Setting: High-acuity inpatient hospital medicine — no procedures required Response: Respond to emergency codes and rapid response teams Clinical Scope Provide inpatient adult medicine in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment Respond to emergencies without performing procedures Manage adult patients across the full spectrum of inpatient care Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team Document thoroughly in EPIC EMR system Requirements MD degree, BE or BC in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Active, unrestricted Mississippi medical license and DEA registration in MS Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient/outpatient experience Current ACLS certification Proof of flu vaccination within the past year Recent case logs and CME documentation (past 2 years) Completion of IM or FM residency Who This Works For Internal medicine or family medicine physicians with inpatient experience Providers licensed and authorized to practice in Mississippi Clinicians comfortable with emergency response in a hospital setting Why Rhino Medical Benefit from operational support including credentialing and malpractice coverage, with a clear, structured schedule suitable for a short-term commitment.
