Doctor of Medicine | Maternal-Fetal Medicine Location: Midlothian, VA Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Rotating Start Date: ASAP About the Position Exciting Opportunity: Locum Physician – Maternal Fetal Medicine in Midlothian, VA Are you an experienced Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist looking to make a meaningful impact while enjoying flexible scheduling? Join our esteemed healthcare team in Midlothian, VA, as a Locum Physician and provide vital high-risk obstetric care at renowned facilities. This position offers the chance to work with a dedicated team supporting maternal and fetal health, ensuring excellent patient outcomes while enhancing your professional repertoire. What You Will Do: Provide expert maternal-fetal medicine services in both office and inpatient settings Perform advanced procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling Manage complex pregnancies with a high percentage of high-risk cases Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including NPs, sonographers, and genetic counselors Ensure patients receive comprehensive care, from diagnosis to delivery Required Skills: Board-certified or eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine Proven experience with high-risk pregnancy management Proficiency in ultrasound imaging (GE 10 or similar) Skilled in performing procedures such as amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and cerclage Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and documentation skills Nice to Have Skills: Experience supervising or mentoring healthcare providers Familiarity with EPIC or similar EMR systems Additional competencies in managing obstetric emergencies or trauma Preferred Education and Experience: Completion of subspecialty training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine Minimum 2 years clinical experience in high-risk obstetrics Prior locum or temporary coverage experience is a plus Other Requirements: Active medical license in Virginia or the ability to obtain one Certification in ACLS and BLS Credentialing estimated to take approximately 90 days Flexibility to cover multiple dates; open to scheduling during specified open periods Coverage includes travel costs such as flights, hotel, rental car, and mileage This is an excellent chance to advance your career, enjoy competitive benefits, and contribute to life-changing patient care.
