Doctor of Medicine | Obstetrics and Gynecology Location: Boston, MA Employer: Lancesoft Inc Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Contract Duration: 6 Months Start Date: 7/1/2026 About the Position We are seeking two Board‑Certified OB/GYN Physicians for a locum tenens assignment providing in‑house inpatient Labor & Delivery coverage . This position is not clinic‑based and not on‑call —physicians provide scheduled, in‑house coverage only . Night shift availability is required. All candidates must be willing and able to work nights. Schedule Details: Two weekday shifts and two weekend shifts per week Coverage includes both day and night L&D shifts Typical shift structure: Weekdays: Days: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Nights: 5:00 PM – 8:00 AM Fridays: Nights end at 7:00 AM Weekends: Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00/8:00 AM This is a high‑volume Labor & Delivery service with approximately 1,200 deliveries annually and an average daily census of 20 patients . Clinical Responsibilities Include: Labor & Delivery coverage Postpartum care Emergent GYN OR cases Emergency Department consults Physicians work alongside PAs and Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) who provide 24/7 unit coverage. PAs assist with admissions, H&Ps, orders, ED consults, and first assist in cesarean sections and GYN OR cases. CNMs manage and admit their own patients. Requirements Board Certified OB/GYN MD required Active Massachusetts Medical License (required) Flu vaccination required (no waivers or exceptions accepted) Willingness to work night shifts Comfortable managing inpatient OB/GYN care independently Experience with high‑volume Labor & Delivery settings preferred Epic and OBIX EMR experience preferred Telehealth experience not required Benefits Orientation hours are payable Malpractice coverage provided Inpatient‑only role (no clinic responsibilities) Strong APP and CNM support model Credentialing and onboarding support (60–90 days) Dedicated account management support
