Doctor of Medicine | Obstetrics and Gynecology Location: Clinton, NC Employer: Adelphi Locums Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Clinton, NC 28328 Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Call Only Coverage Period: Jul 4-6, 2026 On-Call Shift Schedule: 24-hr Call Call Type: Beeper Call Response Time: 20 minutes Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Hospital apartments provided; travel costs capped at $500 PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: varies Rounding: Both Case Mix: Emergent C-sections, vaginal deliveries, and emergent GYN procedures FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 3 labor rooms and 14 postpartum Trauma Level: Level 1 nursery EMR System: MediTech 6.1 Specialty Backup Available: 24/7 on call Anesthesiology and Radiology support PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Temporary Privileges Available: true REQUIRED PROCEDURES Required: Low risk pregnancy FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE) OB Ultrasounds (Performance of, interpretation) Routine delivery Vaginal Low forceps Decision-making for c-section Complicated delivery C-section Breech Multiple births Abruptions VBAC's Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations Office/minor gynecology (IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.) Surgical gynecology Open Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only (tubal ligation, LOA's, chronal tubation) Operative/major (includes diagnostic) (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's) Laser certification Preferred Level I/Screening (viability) Level II/Targeted (anatomic) JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC required Licenses: Licensed in NC DEA: NC DEA required Experience: Actively delivering babies (must submit case logs for past 24 months) Other Qualifications: Must be fully vaccinated; must be enrolled with PECOS; must have NC Medicaid credential; must be within 20 mins of facility Duties & Responsibilities Provide 24-hour call coverage for emergent C-sections and vaginal deliveries. Round on patients as required. Perform emergent GYN procedures as needed. Manage low-risk deliveries and stabilize high-risk patients for transfer. Maintain compliance with hospital bylaws regarding proximity to the facility.
