Job Description
Doctor of Medicine | Obstetrics and Gynecology Location: St. Louis, MO Employer: Alumni Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Contract Duration: 2 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Specialty State MO Location 615 S. New Ballas Road, St. Louis, MO 63141 Requirements OB ED Locum Need- NO CALL 30-40 shifts per month 12 Bed OB/ED On average we see 40-60 patients per day in the OB ED. Coverage for physician 24/7 with APP support 18 hours a day. RN staffing 2-3 depending on time of day- 2 in triage- 2-3 in the back of the OB ED Sonographer 18 hours a day Tech 12 hour a day Evaluate patients who are pregnant up to 6 weeks post partum • What are the shift hours? If they are 24s are providers allowed to do consecutive? These are 12 hour shifts- 7a-7p and 7p-7a • Could we also please confirm if this role is meant for an Ob or an EM provider? OB – our OB ED is supported by the OB Hospitalist team; of course the main EM providers are a great resource if needed • Clarify the setting and shift times for this role? The description says no call which would elude to clinic only but all the details, volume and information that I see are leading me to believe that the shifts are in house call for 24hrs. These are hospital based shifts 7a-7p and 7p-7a in house in the OB ED. There is not on call shifts- these are worked scheduled shifts • Are the shifts 12 or 24-hours? 12 hrs • Start and end times of shifts 7a-7p and 7p-7a • It says below they are looking for 30-40 shifts per month- which is basically a full schedule- is the site willing to accept more than 1 locum provider for this position? We anticipate using more than one locum to cover the shifts; as we hire more physicians we will have less shift needs • What the GYN requirements are? If any at all diagnosis and treatment of ectopic • Are there Certified Nurse Midwives and if so, how do they support the service line? We use APPs (PA, NP and Midwives) they work 12-18 hours a day and see patients just as the physicians do. The OB ED has one physician 24/7 so we use the APPs to supplement and allow 2 providers to manage the patients in this 12 bed ED. • How many staffed OBGYN’s are in-house each day? Mon-Fri day shift we have 2 in house plus the additional one in the OB ED, All other shifts (weekends/nights) we have one OB Hospitalist in house in addition to the OB ED • What are the shift hours? 12 hours 7a-7p and 7p-7a • Could you please confirm whether this role is intended for an OB provider or an EM provider?
